## What Desk does

Desk reads every inbound signal (email, webhooks today; forms, calendar, CRM triggers next), classifies intent against your business objects, plans concrete next actions with reasoning, and asks a human before anything that ships, spends, or speaks for the company. Every decision is logged. Every action is reviewable before it runs.

The core differentiators are:

- **Agent loop** — signal → classify → plan actions → permission gate → execute → log
- **Permission gate** — low-risk actions execute automatically, high-risk actions queue for human approval with full context (what the AI wanted to do, why, confidence score)
- **Activity spine** — chronological audit log across every department; every decision and outcome is fully audit-ready
- **Per-entity memory** — context about each contact, deal, and company is recalled instantly on the next run, so the agent never asks the same question twice

Built by two brothers — a decade of engineering inside Microsoft, Oracle, EY and Citrix (Pankaj Kharkwal, Co-founder · Technology) and a decade of selling into enterprise and institutional buyers (Rohit Kharkwal, Co-founder · Business). The Pankh engineering team is certified across Anthropic Academy's full developer track: Agent Skills, Claude API, Model Context Protocol, and Claude Code.
